KICS family! It just so happens we do not have class August 24th. You have the opportunity to support the local community by either volunteering at or running in the Moore War Run. The link ( http://moorewarrun.com/ ) gives info for registration for either. I'll get the rest of August's calendar out soon, but didn't want you to miss this opportunity.

Also, if you have a new, empty back pack for foster families you would like to donate be sure to bring it to class tomorrow. The 23rd is the last day Mrs. Lozano will be collecting though you can take them to Emmaus Baptist by the end of the month.

July 17th Announcement

Thank you for your persistance in requesting and your patience while waiting. We now have videos for all our katas up to Peon Wong which is learned at 2nd degree Black Belt. I would like to thank Mrs. White and Mr. Boozer for being our kata matter experts and allowing their videos to be used. As stated on the kata page, which can be accessed from the Student Portal, these are reference videos not instructional. If you have questions regarding certain techniques be sure to speak with your instructor in class. We do hope these are of an assistance in learning your katas.

July 12tf Announcement

Emmaus Batist Church is collecting back packs for foster families through the month of July. They will be distributing them at an event in August. If you would like to donate an empty backpack Mrs. Lozano will be the middleman. Bring them to class and she will take them to church. The last day to bring them to class will be Tuesday July 23rd, though you can take them to Emmaus Baptist at anytime.

Don't forget the tournament tomorrow! If you are competing simply do your best with a great attitude! If you are observing be sure to cheer and help out as you can.

July 7 Announcement

Heads up KICS family! An awesome seminar is being made available. Mr. Taylor, who we are honored to learn from occasionally, will be holding a seminar on the 27th. It will cover car-jacking and gun defenses, and will be located at National Martial Arts at 1pm. You can let him know you will be attending but it's not necessary. Just show up and be prepared to learn. The videos will be seen easily on a large screen, and they will be using cars in the parking lot to learn the techniques. These will be great defenses to learn for all belt ranks. Pay at the seminar, cash preferred.

July 6th Announcement

Congratulations to the Hedges who earned their Black belts today. So proud of all the hard work you put in leading up to today, and leaving it all on the mat today!

On Tuesday we will have some new white belts joining us. Be sure to say hi to an unfamiliar face and make them feel welcome!

*stole picture from Genie Radachy. Thanks! 😁*
